Listed below is the sequence of events and engine behaviors noted as the engine warms up, gets to normal operating temperature and goes into high temperature mode. Apr 19, 2019 · "Individual throttle bodies are known in racing for throttle response, performance, better part-load throttle behavior, more torque in the mid-range, and simply faster reaction to changes," he said. 2004 vw Touareg v8. These vehicles exhibits frequent but inconsistent delay in throttle response. This issue arises most often in heavy traffic when the driver comes to a rolling stop. When shifting inputs from the brake to the throttle the vehicle will frequently exhibit a 1-2 second delay before there is any response from the engine. I have a small nuisance with my car. When the engine is cold, especially in the winter, my throttle seems to have a slow response. Yes / No Sep 27, 2013 · Modern electronics and control systems would allow the throttle lag to be reduced. The difference in rpm can be mitigated with either a free power turbine or hydraulic coupling. The use of reduction gears could also reduce rpm and increase torque (this is why a turboshaft engine was used in the m1 Abrams, tanks need lots of torque). Leave it half throttle for a couple seconds, bump the stick to full throttle and it loads up and quits instantly. I try leaning the low speed needle and it becomes too lean and will not transition from idle. Leaning the high speed needle enough for it to not load up at half throttle results in being too lean at full throttle. upon arming (motor stop) when raising throttle just bit on the sticks the motors would continue to go to max despite the throttle input i gave after that. on the motor test, it works as it should.Crafted by the country's leading experts, aFe products, including air filters, intakes, and exhausts, are designed to boost the performance of your vehicle. Again, I agree. I think that while this throttle-mapping behavior becomes more apparent the "farther" the maps are apart - i.e. in going from a lazy-response (i.e. "economy") map to a very, very sharp one (i.e. "Sport-Sharp" or the like), there's a lot of space covered in-between, and thus, there will be a noted transition - that with a vehicle which did not initially enjoy such distinct ...

I did the reset and have to admit there is definitely more than a perceived improvement. More responsive. I expected a relearn of shifting but this seems to have something to do with throttle response as well? Thanks for the info!
